THIS BRIDE AND GROOM DITCHED THE GIFTS AND ASKED THEIR GUESTS FOR WHAT?!

Every now and then, a news article comes along that we just have to share and this story of a Florida couple who asked their guests to skip the wedding gifts and instead give random acts of kindness is one of those.

Bride, Leigh McManus told her 100 wedding guests that instead of buying kitchen appliances or contributing to a wishing well, she’d rather they go out and do a random act of kindness as a gift. Guests were then asked to share their act of kindness with the hashtag #kindleigheverafter.

One of the bridesmaids took pet food and supplies to a local animal shelter, because she loved cats. Another guest brought donughnuts to a local beauty salon and another brought frozen yoghurt for a security guard. Other acts include buying a meal for a stranger, delivering cupcakes and cookies and donating supplies to a women’s shelter.

The couple completed their own act of kindness of their wedding day by donating all of the flower arrangements to a local nursing home.2

Would you consider ditching your wedding gifts?
