I have made it halfway into my HYPOXI month and I’ve broken down my final two weeks for you guys as I close off a very eye-opening, new-age exercise experience.

WHAT IS IT?

WEEK 3
OK, so I broke my promise but LOOK at how many cms I’ve lost! EEK! I feel like I deserved that cheesecake and it tasted like fluffy pillows of heaven. I am also quite proud that I stopped at that one slice – my normal thinking when breaking a diet is that I’ve broken the entire day and I might as well eat a bowl of pasta, 6 brownies, a box of Krispy Kremes and a small child. This time, I was able to STOP… progress!
This week was also the first time I stepped on the scale and despite Cheesecake Gate, I have lost 2.2 kgs! My HYPOXI advisor, Tam, while congratulating me on this loss has stressed that if my weight changes slightly in any respect, I shouldn’t feel discouraged and I should measure my success on my measurements. The figure on your scales can change for a number of reasons – water intake throughout the day, the time of day you’re weighing yourself, bathroom breaks and if and what you have eaten.

WEEK 4
Home stretch!
In total from the start of my HYPOXI sessions to the end, 3 days a week, 50 minutes a day, I have lost a total of 36.5cms. I feel healthier and I definitely look fitter. I won’t lie, there were some mornings I did not want to get up, some mornings I whinged all the way to the studio and some mornings I just wanted to eat all the toast in the world; but the truth is that nothing is a bigger driver than when you actually SEE and FEEL it working.

PERSONAL PROS
- Team HYPOXI recommend you do not train on HYPOXI days so I got to skip the gym 3 times a week in the name of #research!
- Throwing on a fitted dress and not having to wear Spanx to smooth out my bits.
- The workout is so low-impact that I got to exercise, sweat and check my emails at the same time.
PERSONAL CONS
- No Carbs for 6 hrs after training – the struggle though
- No caffeine
