So, if you didn’t manage to watch the segment, fear not – we’ve got the footage, as well as a run down of all the hottest picks!
The modern Bride is becoming more fashion-forward than ever before and no longer feels the need to dilute the runway looks into something more ‘traditional’ or ‘everyday’. Because of this, designers are now making couture more accessible for the Australian Bride and we are spoiled for choice when it comes to cutting-edge, creative designers right on our doorstep.
1. The Bride Wears Pants
Bridal jumpsuits or pantsuits are taking the industry by storm and are the perfect way to create a statement on your Wedding Day. We’re talking heavy embellishment, flawless tailoring and accessorising with capes, removable trains and bling. For this look, go no further than Lillian Khallouf, Leah Da Gloria, Sant Elia and Carla Zampatti.

2. The Red Carpet Moment
This look is for the confident Bride, who wants to incorporate her love of high-fashion into her Wedding Day. It’s all about interpreting the glamour of a Hollywood red carpet into a Bridal look complete with dramatic cut-outs, sharp paneling, thick pleating and unexpected texture. To recreate your own red carpet moment, you’ll need a contemporary designer that pushes the boundaries like Toni Maticevski, Lillian Khallouf or Thurley.

3. The Cinderella Gown
Everyone from Rebecca Judd to Jennifer Lawrence is embracing the classic Cinderella gown trend! This look is defined by the fitted bodice and a focus on the neckline. The gown then leads into a full tulle, taffeta or silk skirt coming from the waistline. For Brides, this makes for the ultimate Disney princess moment. You can’t go past the incredible Steven Khalil, Paolo Sebastian or J’Aton for this look!

4. The Column
The column silhouette is the epitome of chic and is a timeless look worn by the likes of Carolyn Bessette and Audrey Hepburn. This gown is all about simplicity and really lets the Bride’s natural shape and beauty be front and centre. Carla Zampatti, Ellery and Christopher Esber do this look brilliantly.

5. The Modern Mermaid
The mermaid silhouette has always been the go-to for Bride’s who are ready to show off their curves and this trend is being re-imagined to bring it into the modern age with heavy detailing, sensual corsetry and more structured fabrics. To keep your mermaid-look current, opt for a full skirt that starts three-quarters of the way up the leg, instead of below the knee (as was previously popular). Once again, Steven Khalil and Personalised Weddings Couture can tailor this look to perfection.
