Taylor Ward and Riyad Mahrez took wedding celebrations to a whole new level with their fourth marriage ceremony. The couple renewed vows for the third time in Italy, amidst the stunning shores of Lake Como on July 4th. The beautiful three-day event took place at the breathtaking Villa Balbiano, the same iconic location featured in the film House of Gucci.

When you’re getting married for the third time, you have the opportunity to experiment with different aspects of your special day in ways that might not have been possible the first time around.

For this occasion, the couple wanted to go grand, compensating for their intimate legal ceremony with an extravaganza of style and fashion. The British model had six dress changes!

This contemporary idea of multiple outfits on your wedding day is not limited to celebrities only. As brides-to-be become more conscious of the investment dedicated to their special day, they are eager to make the most of every moment—and rightly so!

Why Wearing Multiple Wedding Dresses?

Gone are the days when the main focus was solely on the much-anticipated ceremony, where everyone eagerly awaited the sight of the bride in the classic white dress.

Today, as even the tradition of white wedding dresses evolves, brides are embracing the significance of every moment of their wedding day, not just the walk down the aisle. They realize that each part of the celebration holds its own special charm and deserves its own unique style and attention.

It’s your special day, so why not go all out? If you’re struggling to choose just one dress from all the stunning options, why not wear them all? Think of it as your personal fashion show, showcasing every side of your style, and the best part is—no one can tell you otherwise. Taylor’s third wedding celebration is a guide on how to style multiple wedding dresses.

Taylor Ward’s Wedding Dress Journey

Taylor explains that her choice to style multiple dresses was much influenced by the significant role that culture plays in the couple’s life.

For the Arabic ceremony alone, the model had two gown changes. With the footballer Riyad Mahrez’s mother being Moroccan and his father Algerian, they wanted to incorporate his heritage and culture into their wedding. Fashion and décor provided the perfect avenue for that.

Taylor told the Wedded Wonderland team that her first dress was inspired by a vision she had after trying on a few options, and designer Rasit Bagzabagli brought that vision to life.

The second dress was Valdrin Sahiti, and the third was a BRONXANDBANCO design.

“My first outfit, which was all white, was flown in from Dubai and matched with Riyad, Mila, Ayla, and Inaya—who were all flower girls the next day. After that, I changed into a black outfit that was made in Paris,” she notes in an exclusive interview for OK!

“It had a detachable skirt which I removed and turned into my second dress for dinner. Then, for our first dance, I had another one made in Kosovo. The fourth dress came after the cutting of the cake, and felt much more “party-like”.

According to the news channel, the groom had a Prada suit. Jewellery was courtesy of Berry’s Jewellers, and the ten bridesmaids wore black designs with white details by Lavish Alice. The gorgeous Arabic day dresses were creations of Selma Benomar

Understand the Theme

The theme of your wedding day plays a huge part, it sets the tone for all your wedding dresses. Regardless of your personal style, make sure each dress aligns with your overall vision. A cohesive theme will help each look to blend seamlessly and make your fashion choices feel intentional.

Consider Each Part of Your Wedding

Think about the different stages of your wedding—makeup and hair styling, ceremony, reception, and after-party—and choose dresses that suit each moment and fit into the atmosphere; they will all have different requirements. Multi-day celebrations give you more flexibility to experiment with different styles and transitions.

Prioritize Versatile Designs

Choose dresses that offer versatility and easy transformation. Look for designs that can be modified throughout the day, such as removable tails or adjustable hemlines. This way, you can adapt your look from a full-length gown to a midi or mini dress with minimal effort, keeping your style fresh and practical.

Take Your Designer’s Thoughts

Your designer is your best ally in this runway show! They can provide expert advice on how to achieve a seamless transition between different looks, ensuring each dress fits perfectly and complements the overall theme. Trust their guidance to make your multi-dress experience smooth and stylish.
