Steven Khalil, one of Australia’s leading designers, set the runway alight with exquisite embellishments and luxe metallic looks last night at Carriageworks. No doubt obsessed SK fans such as Kylie Jenner, Emma Ratajkowski, and Jesinta Campbell were glued to the glamour that made its way down the blooming floral staircase just as we were.

The collection dazzled with plunging necklines and intricate embellishments; and was punctuated with daring shades such as violent purple, regal burgundy, and statement saffron in billowing tulle. A dreamy collection of floral prints complemented layers of tulle, while figure skimming beading slipped over models like liquid.

Steven Khalil’s showstopper was an extravagant wedding gown featuring a plunging neckline on a see-through mesh bodice that cinched in at the waist, and bellowed out into a voluminous ballgown skirt.
