The Bridgerton Wedding of 'Star Wars' actress Philicia Saunders
In a moment straight out of a storybook, actress Philicia Saunders married Jordan Alexander Wilson in an enchanting Bridgerton-themed wedding on November 10 in Long Beach, California.
Their love story began in 2022 where their paths crossed as co-workers at the Los Angeles-based film and television production company Bad Robot. Philicia, who played Tabala Zo in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker, had invited Jordan to a thank you-lunch after he remotely repaired her iPad.
This ordinary gesture proved to be a crucial encounter that would ignite an unmistakable connection. Though both parties were initially hesitant to be romantically linked to a co-worker, they discovered that they had too many common passions to ignore, namely anime, cosplay, video games, and acting. It wasn’t long until this spark blossomed into a fully-fledged romance. As they say, once you know you’ve found your person, everything just falls into place.

A Regency Engagement Photoshoot
The couple’s Bridgerton-inspired journey began a year before their wedding with a breathtaking Regency-era engagement photoshoot. Given their shared love for cosplay, Philicia and Jordan dove right into the show’s theme with full commitment! As Philicia is a huge fan of the Netflix romance series, which is set between 1813 and 1827, they knew that it had to figure into the visuals of their wedding.
Captured by Kristen Booth, who would also document their wedding day, the session took place at the historic Kimberly Crest House and Gardens. Donning period costumes that evoked the elegance of 19th-century England, Philicia and Jordan looked just like characters in a romantic Victorian novel brought to life!

The Venue
For their big day, the couple chose the Ebell Club of Long Beach. Located in sunny California, the venue boasts Spanish-Revival architecture, intricate ceilings, and a luminous ballroom. The venue’s graceful ambiance perfectly complemented the couple’s Bridgerton theme, creating an atmosphere that transported guests to another era. Its intimate courtyards and elegant, ornamented interiors added a cinematic flair to every moment, offering the loveliest stage for Philicia and Jordan’s vows!

The Bridal Gown
Philicia’s bridal look was nothing short of spectacular. She walked down the aisle in a Vivienne Atelier Bridal ballgown with a train that extended nearly eight feet behind her—an opulent statement that would look right at home in a Bridgerton ball. The bride completed her look with a tiara, a delicately embroidered veil, and simple yet regal jewelery.
