It’s the wedding that not only took our breath away but reinvented what it means to wear a lace wedding dress. Bride Shadene and Groom Jean-Marie tell Wedded Wonderland all about their sensational nuptials in the heart of Lebanon.

Jean-Marie and Shadene are both avid fans of Harry Potter. So it was a natural choice for the pair to tie the knot at the historical castle, Palais Du Mzar in Ghazir.

The once abandoned palace was brought to life with a special theme unique to the newlyweds, inspired by an elevated take on the medieval era.

The entire affair was customized from the entrance with the sun and moon characters, to the outstanding menu inspired by winter elements. Guests walked into a reception lit up by chandeliers, candles from every angle and by the stars that glistened from above. The finishing touch? A family cake-topper that adorned the wedding cake!

The pièce de résistance – to say the very least – was the dress. Bride Shadene took lace to a new level with a full-body catsuit that laid effortlessly beneath a bandeau neckline that falls into a floor-length skirt. It doesn’t stop there either with a thigh-high split that gives the lace catsuit its moment to shine (and boy did it).

The bride’s gown is the work of Sara Mrad and the groom’s suits are creations of Nemer Saadeh.
