James proposed to Rachelle under the shining night stars, in front of the monumental Temple of Venus and Rome.  During the day, the couple had been shopping in Rome and Rachelle fell in love with a gorgeous Celine wallet, but resisted the temptation of buying it. However, following an evening of opera and ballet, ever so thoughtful James surprised her with the wallet she had her eyes on, and hidden inside was a beautiful engagement ring and small white cards which read  ‘Will you marry me?’

Back home in Australia, the couple decided the theme of their wedding would be Classic Australian meets English old-world charm and since it was summer time they wanted everything to be beautifully fresh, crisp and effortless. The couple enlisted the help of Seed Flora and She Designs to create a flower wonderland at their charming venue, Gunners Barracks, where they gathered their closest friends and family for their intimate ceremony and wedding reception.

Reflecting on their special day, the couple’s funniest memory was after the ceremony where Rachelle and James were so caught up in the moment that they walked out of the ceremony area without signing the official documents!

All in all, James and Rachelle said the day was “absolutely magical” and here at Wedded Wonderland we are in awe of their beautiful wedding!
