Lisa and Jason met exactly 3 weeks before he was due to travel and explore the world for 2 years! Talk about unfortunate luck! However, this didn’t stop the pair from remaining in contact … While Jason was overseas he would send Lisa a postcard from each country he visited, as well as texting, calling and Skyping each week. After a year and a half of long distance communication Jason returned to Melbourne, but at that time Lisa had coincidentally planned to visit family in Europe! So again, they bi-passed one another. Then, exactly 2 years after their initial meeting, Jason picked Lisa up from the airport, which they described as the best moment of their lives, and they were finally able to be together!
Jason proposed to Lisa on a cold autumn’s day on Phillip Island. Lisa had just completed her studies and Jason decided to book a house away for the weekend, and to Lisa’s complete surprise he proposed!
Reflecting on the special moment, Lisa told Wedded Wonderland, “It was the best moment of my life! He opened the little black box and staring back at me was my sparkling pear engagement ring!! I cried, I laughed and then threw my arms around him.”
Fast-forward to the couple’s elegant wedding, held at a heritage listed manor house from the 1800’s, which was adorned in beautiful blush coloured florals styled by The Style Co, a mix of gold sparkling glassware, gold Tiffany chairs, antiques chandeliers and romantic candles setting a warm yet magical feel to the room.
The couple’s favourite and most heart-warming moment from their special day was when they saw each other for the first time at the aisle. Lisa told Wedded Wonderland, “It felt so surreal, magical and was our complete fairy tale.”
Enjoy this classically elegant wedding, Fairies!
