Joanne and Jonny met on a night out, connecting instantly and have been inseparable ever since!
Jonny proposed during a romantic mini getaway to Emirates Wolgan Valley on Valentines Day. Joanne told Wedded Wonderland, “During dinner on Valentines Day he got down on one knee during and proposed with the most perfect ring! I was completely shocked! So cheesy on Valentines though!”
Fast forward to the wedding, which started with the a traditional church ceremony at St Felix with a beautiful 4 piece Quartet playing throughout the mass, followed by a delicious High Tea Buffet after the mass. The couple then held their dreamy reception at The Ivy Ballroom, where the theme was classic white with touches of gold, and an abundance of florals and chandeliers dazzling the room.
The entertainment for the night consisted of a spectacular traditional Chinese performance know as the Lion Dance. The Lion is viewed as a symbol of happiness and good luck. During the performance the Lion jumped on poles up to 3 metres high, in what can only be described as a heart pumping performance! The Aerialists performed a extraordinary show with a story line of love, to the song ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri.
One of the highlights of the night was Jonny’s speech, one that he was super anxious about, but ended up delivering a heart-warming and hilarious speech that floored the entire room.
Joanne and Jonny described their wedding as “the most fun and perfect day”, and it certainly looked that way!
Enjoy this magical wedding, Fairies!
