PRINNIE REVEALS HER TOP 7 ROMANTIC VALENTINE’S DAY DATES

Prinnie Stevens is one of Australia’s ultimate divas; she sings like an angel, dances like Queen B and has a heart of gold to match. So, when we sat down for a girlie chat just before Valentine’s Day, the first thing we asked was what her idea of a romantic date is.

These are her picks, but if you’re after something in Sydney, make sure you check out her Valentine’s Day show – The Diva Series

1. The Low-Budget/High-Romance Date

This date is about watching the sun go down on the beach with a basket of my favourite wine, cheese, meats and other goodies. All we need is a portable speaker so that we can listen to our favourite jams and a nice warm blanket that we can huddle under to keep each other warm as we watch the moonlight on the water.

2. The Sentimental Date

I love going somewhere that means something to us and has sentimental value. Whether it’s where we had our first date or a special restaurant that we both LOVE! Our personal go=to is Rockpool, it’s our favourite; the dim lighting, amazing food and cocktails always satisfy.

3. Fabulous & Fun

If you’re a fun-loving couple, somewhere like a Teppenyaki is a great way to spice up your date. I love how interactive it is and it keeps you entertained throughout the date. You have your own personal chef and there are a lot giggles. Beware, you have to be able to laugh at yourself for this one!

4. Home Alone

I know one of my favourite romantic dates was in my own home. My man had been away working and he arrived home one evening to our hallway which was lined with tea lights leading to a home-cooked dinner. If you don’t cook, order your favourite food! You don’t have to go far for romance, make it yourself. After dinner put on some Netflix & chill.

5. The Outback Date

Take your dinner date into the open air and set up outside! Reuse your Christmas lights and put them in the trees to create a beautiful romantic atmosphere. I like to set up a table and chairs topped with my favourite food and wine. Play some music throughout your date and when you’re finished eating, turn the music up and have your own dance floor. There’s nothing better.

6. Mystery Date

Keep your date a mystery! Spice up your date by sending a few cheeky texts throughout the day. What to wear, what cuisine to expect and then just send an address as to where to meet and at what time. Try to avoid talking throughout the day, until you see them on the date. That way, you work up the suspense and make it exciting. Pick somewhere fun like tapas or a restaurant that has salsa dancing.

7. Movie Magic

Moonlight cinema can be such a romantic way to spend an evening with champagne, a packed dinner and blanket. Keep each other warm under the moonlight and make a point to turn off your phones and enjoy each other’s company.

Prinnie Stevens will be performing a Valentine’s Day show at The Basement featuring the music of Whitney Houston, Donna Summer and Sade. Tickets available now from Moshtix.
