'Mocha Mousse' and what it evokes for weddings

Weddings are often discussed on binary terms. Are you looking at a grand wedding, or a simple and intimate affair? Will your styling be a gilded fairytale extravaganza, or a rustic get-together warmed with handmade details?

Mocha Mousse sits somewhere in the middle. For those who aim for “quiet luxury” yet find themselves endlessly charmed by the boho-chic sensibility, Mocha Mousse should be an easy feature in your wedding.

It’s striking enough to elicit the glamour of bronze, yet remains earthy, cozy, and unassuming. You can effortlessly sneak it into your wedding by way of tablescaping ornaments, linens, flowers, or other elements, and you’ll find that it’ll make a world of difference, yet won’t register as an over-the-top colour.

It’s a grounding, foundational shade that isn’t as neutral as white or grey, but is subtle enough to make its home alongside other bolder hues or more opulent details.

Trend Forecast for 'Mocha Mousse' Weddings

Although wedding enthusiasts worldwide will always sing praises for the traditional bridal white, alluring alternatives including blush, beige, and nude are more than welcome. As Mocha Mousse is a close cousin of a coffee-toned nude, it blends seamlessly into a predominantly white colour scheme. For these reasons, we predict that it’ll be a staple in weddings to come.

Fluid drapes that call to mind sand dunes.

Enhanced by the glow of candlelight, drapes and ceiling pieces in Mocha Mousse will add a poetic depth and mystery to an indoor wedding venue. Although the hue doesn’t call attention to itself, it transforms the feel of the space entirely, and makes the other elements pop even more.

Wild dried foliage in lieu of rainbow blooms

While dried flowers have long been the bohemian bride’s bouquet of choice, they’re worth scaling up to span tablescapes and ceremony arch ornamentation. They give off a carefree, natural effect, and certainly make for a unique look.

'Mocha Mousse' in Cultural and Destination Weddings

Mocha Mousse is a universally flattering hue that blends into a wide array of color schemes, including those of destination weddings that strongly draw from cultural heritage. It pairs beautifully with deep jewel tones, for example, so if one’s cultural dress involves bold colors, Mocha Mousse can serve as a transitional color to complete the ensemble,
