With the Sydney leg of the tour done and dusted, Lilit and the Wedded Wonderland crew packed up the kits and made headway for Melbourne, Victoria. Long known as the fashion and style capital of Australia, Lilit knew she could expect some seriously talented and fashion focused artists, and we couldn’t wait to get started.
We arrived at L1 Studios early on the first day. Coffee in one hand and iphone in the other, we walked into the space where the gorgeous duo of Styled by Coco were busy with the finishing touches. Expecting nothing less from these celebrated Melbourne stylists; this white lofty space had been transformed into a modern makeup artists dream, tastefully finished with breathtaking floral installations by Ascha Jolie. With cameras, lights, screens and stations ready to go, students began to arrive ready for whatever the next few days would bring.
Anticipating another amazing group of artists, Lilit was blown away to find that some attendees had travelled from Sydney to take part in the Melbourne workshop. Humbled by her student’s willingness to travel for the sake of a stronger education, Lilit delivered another stellar class, working hard to ensure her artists could walk away with a newfound passion for their craft.
There was something quite incredible about watching this class unfold over the course of the three days. As the artists started to settle into the space and delve deeper into their craft, it was wonderful to see hard working Australian artists get the inspiration and educated advice from one of their finest mentors, who they could now call a friend. Lilit makes no exceptions when it comes to the way she delivers a class, and working with her to produce her first Australian tour was incredible rewarding. Sometimes it’s necessary to take some time out to rediscover, renew, and to fall in love with your craft all over again.
