Jenna Dewan Tatum Hits Back at Mummy-Shamers

Actress and dance extraordinaire Jenna Dewan Tatum made the perfect response to mum-shamers who criticised one of her recent Instagram posts. Not one to shy away from a little risqué outfit, Tatum took to Instagram to post a very flattering picture of herself in a revealing black bodysuit and received a serious amount of flak for it.

The image which she captioned ‘Cheeky balcony series’ stirred some seriously offensive commenters. Some who thought that her shot was totally inappropriate and thought she was being a bad role model to her 4-year-old daughter, Everly.

“You look amazing but I don’t get why everyone wants to show their ass all the time for no apparent reason”, one follower commented. “You young ladies today think you need to post this. You have way to much class to bring it to this level. You’re a classy talented young woman. Be the inner you and love yourself”, said another.

Other’s brought up Tatum’s daughter. “What signals is she sending to her young daughter? Mummy’s bum all over the net haha. Lead by example” assuming that Tatum’s picture was a cry for attention and not an empowered self-love message that it was. Meanwhile, hundreds of Tatum fans came to her defence.

But it was Tatum’s clever response to the mum-shamers that hit right back at the criticism. Posting a quote that encourages the empowerment of women and captioned “To all strong women out there. May we be them, may we know them, may we raise them <3 Rise above the judgement and step into love”.

*hair flick* What better way of being a role model to her daughter than discouraging judgement and encouraging love?
