The Sydney Wedding of Jamesray & Dani
Fashion lovers everywhere will be united in appreciation for the stunning wedding of Jamesray and Danielle Khoury, which was a vibrant affair infused with the couple’s undeniably stylish flair.
The pair wed in Sydney, Australia, turning their special day into the party of a lifetime that guests are likely to never forget. From the bridal preps to the groom’s arrival at the venue, every minute was filled with fun-loving energy!
Looking through the photos by renowned Australian studio Siempre, one can almost hear the laughter that soundtracked their special day. Dancing, too, seemed to be a staple from the ceremony all the way to the incredible reception. Plus, we can’t ignore that bridal car—it’s not every day that a couple’s nuptial vehicle of choice turns out to be a Barbie-pink 4th generation Cadillac Eldorado!
A Fashionable Romance
The groom, Jamesray Khoury, is the designer behind JAMES REMI, an Australian fashion label with a specialty in bold colors and daring shapes reminiscent of the 1970s, rendered with impeccable tailoring and ever-eclectic composition. That said, he made sure not to pass up the opportunity to design the tuxedo for his very own wedding!
His standout white tuxedo jacket boasted a pronounced contrast peak lapel, pearl and bead embellishments, and a waistcoat closure. During the pre-ceremony photoshoot, he accessorized the look with a pair of hot pink sunglasses.
The Bridal Gown
Danielle’s bridal look was certainly one for the books—her gown wouldn’t be out of place in a museum of clothing worn by queens! Designed by Steven Khalil, her wedding dress featured a dramatic v-neckline that cut down to her waist, and cutouts around the sides of the bodice. Draped fabric created a luxe ribbon effect around the hips, which then cascaded into the full skirt.
Gold beads and pearls adorned the gown’s center, evoking a sense of fine jewelry. To match, the bride accessorized with a pair of gemstone and pearl chandelier earrings. For the ceremony, she wore a traditional veil. So beautiful!
A Celebration of Love and Personality
The couple was also photographed strolling through the city in their full wedding attire. They took some lovely candids in front of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and enjoyed the open air with their bridesmaids and groomsmen.
“The highlight of the day definitely was eating the pizza in the rain,” recounted Siempre director Shayben Moussa. “[At] the bridal location shoot, it started to pour down, and both the bride and groom had not a care in the world as if nothing could interrupt their day.”
“That’s just the best attitude to have, and when they groomsmen walked up to them with a pizza box from the restaurant near the art gallery, they had a slice together in the rain. It was priceless,” he told Wedded Wonderland.
The Reception Venue
For the reception, the wedding party headed over to The Everleigh by The Grounds Events, located at the historic locomotive workshops in South Everleigh, Sydney.
Complete with sky-high ceilings and a versatile open plan, the venue features a grand balcony and staircase for spectacular entrances or performances, vintage chandeliers, and marble and brass accents. With the rugged stone details of the building contrasting with the sleek, modern elegance of the all-white ballroom, the venue is the perfect mix of rustic and minimalist, contemporary styles.
The reception party looked like it could have challenged those of the roaring ’20s: the dance floor was alive with drummers, a smoke machine and lights, and bursts of confetti! The couple also embraced color, and opted for florals in the brightest violets, blues, oranges, and magentas.
This wedding looked like an absolute blast!
We wish the couple a lifetime of happiness!
