The happiest of happy endings: one of the most beloved wedding dress designers, Hayley Paige, makes her highly anticipated comeback into the bridal fashion scene, now with full control over her creations and her namesake.

The sweet figure behind the well-known whimsical styles and star of TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” took a hiatus from the industry and migrated to shoe designing, starting the brand She Is Cheval. Paige is now back and announces it by publishing an emotional video on the Instagram account @AllThatGlittersontheGram —the one in which she provides legal resources and guidance for young artists in the early stages of their careers.

The JLM Couture Controversy

The long-running legal feud between Hayley Paige and JLM Couture has finally settled, bringing an end to four years of disputes over who owns the rights to her name. The agreement allows Hayley to reclaim control over her personal brand identity and business ventures.

The designer initially signed contracts with JLM Couture in 2011, allowing them to use her name or any derivative for their bridal gowns fashion line. Eventually, this led to excessive control over Hayley’s social accounts such as @misshayleypaige on Instagram and TikTok, and every piece of content published.

Now, after years of litigation, Paige is officially released from the non-compete agreement that would limit her creative work, and the bridal industry insiders and enthusiasts can’t help but feel the joyful relief knowing we will see more of her projects soon.

Impact on the Bridal Fashion Industry

Paige has a natural talent for communicating with the new Gen Z and millennials and translating their visions into unique pieces—every girl has dreamed at least once about wearing a Hayley Paige creation. Before entering the industry, Hayley spent a lot of her time reading bridal magazines and was fascinated by the meaning and sentiment behind the dresses she would see on paper. Both of her white prom dresses were designed by the future wedding dress designer herself. Later on in her career, she was part of Marchesa’s Eternal Collection as the bridal designer.

In addition to Hayley Paige Bridal, the powerhouse also runs brands such as Hayley Paige, Blush by Hayley Paige, Hayley Paige Occasions, La Petite Hayley Paige and Hayley Paige Red Carpet, which, have been featured on countless red carpets.

Her most sincere adoration for the fashion industry has led celebrities such as Carrie Underwood, Olivia Wilde, Chrissy Teigen, and Kelsea Ballerini to showcase her authentic creations.

In an exclusive interview for The Knot, Paige says she will continue to work on her shoe brand and promises to combine her two children: She Is Cheval and her bridal fashion line, coming up with matching wedding dresses and shoes. Paige, we asked for a meal, and you have gifted us with a feast!

“I want to provide my signature DNA and the aesthetic that connected me to so many amazing women—but there’s been some evolution,” she declares to The Knot. “Should I bring back my original designs? Should I do a Taylor Swift remix of them? It’ll be fun to play into the iconic signature of Hayley Paige while also carrying the brand forward.”

One thing is certain: we are eager to see what she has been working on during her time away, and we can bet it’s going to make up for the long break.

Hayley Ever After: The Dress

Apart from her remarkable appearances on television shows like Say Yes to the Dress and Say Yes to America on TLC, Hayley also launched her series called Hayley Ever After in 2018.

Originally published on YouTube, the show is now available on various streaming services. The global designer not only starred in major television productions but also used her social media accounts to share behind-the-scenes glimpses of her daily life.

For Brides-to-Be

For brides-to-be who have long admired Paige’s work, this new era brings extra excitement as the designer plans her own wedding with Conrad Louis. She shares to be looking forward to designing her own wedding gown after a 5-year engagement. An inspired bride-to-be creating for the community? Absolutely!

Details on accessing her new designs are still emerging, but they’re expected to be available through select bridal boutiques and possibly direct-to-consumer channels.

Hayley Paige’s return to the bridal wear scene marks an invigorating new chapter for both the designer and brides. Her singular vision and innovative designs are assured to once again make a significant impact on wedding fashion trends, just like they have been doing for decades. As we keep refreshing all of her accounts in pursuit of more details, we conclude that the future of bridal fashion is highly positive!
