George Clooney Reveals What Happened At The Royal Wedding Reception

George Clooney and wife, Amal Clooney were one of the lucky few who attended the royal wedding.

The actor recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles for his acting, writing and directing work for films such as The Ides of March, Good Night and Good Luck.

The actor was quick to clear up rumors that he danced the night away with the bride, Meghan Markle and with the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.

The actor told reporters on the night:

“There were a lot of stories, I heard I danced with… everybody.” Amal then added: “Yeah… the bride…” where George quickly clarified: “Yeah, I didn’t dance, I didn’t. There wasn’t beer pong. I heard there was beer pong, no beer pong.”

While the actor didn’t reveal much else about what happened during the night of the royal wedding, we did get a glimpse about his real-life love story with wife, Amal Clooney.

Amal Clooney gave a speech honoring George that moved everyone to tears.

“Everyone who knows him, even those who oppose him politically or who have quarrelled with him professionally, will tell you he has not forgotten his Kentucky manners. On every set I visit, I’m told by the crew that George sticks up for the most vulnerable.”

Amal goes on to say that at the age of 35, she had “resigned to the idea that I was going to be a spinster.”

Amal then revealed that she knew George was the one as she “couldn’t sleep” during nights when they were apart.

“Five years later, none of that has changed. He is the persona who has my complete admiration and also the person whose smile makes me melt every time. My, love what i have found with you is the great love I always hoped existed.”

“And seeing you with our children, Ella and Alexander, is the greatest joy in my life.”
