Emma Watkins wedded her now-husband Oliver Brian in a country estate with a string of romantic details, including a sparkly gown and an incredible wedding cake.
Emma Watkins and Oliver Brian’s wedding, an afternoon garden celebration in the Victorian countryside, was a family affair from start to finish.
The pair met while they were both working with The Wiggles, an Australian children’s entertainment giant (Oliver was a composer, sound engineer, and producer). Oliver proposed in the Victorian countryside, not far from their wedding destination.
Emma told Vogue, “Olly got on one knee, he was so nervous about falling off the bridge. It was such a surprise! I said, ‘yes, and is this actually happening?’ I couldn’t believe it and then we both cried.”
Their rings, which are heirlooms from the bride’s family, mirrored the familial touches during their May wedding, which was attended by roughly 80 people. Emma’s yellow gold wedding band was moulded from a piece held by Emma’s grandmother, while Oliver’s white gold band was moulded from a piece worn by Emma’s great-grandmother.
The bride opted for a Paolo Sebastian gown with a Kim Alpha Bridal veil, Roger Vivier shoes, and Paspaley earrings.
“It was a sit-down lunch, it was very casual to the point where we had no emcee. It was Olly’s idea—he thought it would be fun for us to be the emcees. We were just like, ‘hey everybody, it’s lunch now!’ ‘Is everyone OK?’ ‘Hey everyone!’ It felt more relaxed in a way,” Emma told Vogue
