If I had to describe Michael Lo Sordo’s latest collection in three words, I’d say: romantic, celestial and modern-Victorian.
Michael used pink, white, pale blue and red coloured materials, which gave some much-needed relief to the monochrome palette that has been a staple so far at #MBFWA.
Each model looked celestial with their teased, messy buns, glowing skin and ‘just-bitten’ lips.
The majority of gowns were crafted using soft chiffon, and ‘pleating’ was an obvious theme throughout. Michael appeared to design his gowns to highlight the model’s neckline, with heavy detailing and pleats focused around the neck of the garments.
The must-haves according to Michael are:
- Anything pleated
- A long, romantic maxi-dress to take you through winter engagement and cocktail soirees
- Blouses and dresses that are heavily detailed around the neckline
- Colour – don’t follow the rules this winter. Add a pale blue coat or a pink skirt to your winter wardrobe
