DADDY’S GIRL – 5 WAYS TO INCLUDE THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE IN THE BIG DAY

It’s long been said that a girl’s first true love is her father, but when preparing for your own Big Day, dad’s are often overlooked.

If you consider yourself ‘daddy’s little girl’ at heart, there are some great ways to get him involved in the Wedding planning (if you can pull him away from the football for long enough)!

1. Bring Dad With You to Try on Your Wedding Dress

Let’s state the obvious, mums are our go-to stylists; however, that doesn’t mean dad will be completely clueless. At the end of the day, getting a man’s perspective on the gown could be refreshing (and sometimes brutally honest).

2. Take a Father-Daughter Dance Class

Whether you want to formally take waltz classes with your dad or prefer to do some zumba at home, the effort and time spent with him will be very much appreciated. Plus, it will get you both prepared for the Wedding Day daddy/daughter dance!

3. Take Him Tux Shopping

We all want our Dads looking fresh for the Wedding so what better way than to help dress them? Your Dad will love being involved and spending the extra time with you and, in return, you’ll have him looking pretty spesh for the Big Day.

4. Ask Him to Choose the Wedding Day Cars

If your hubby has the job of choosing the cars for the Wedding, get your Dad in on some of the action; he will love being involved in the prep and doing ‘guy stuff’ with your Groom.

5.  Ask For His Advice

Whether it’s for something big, like which venue he likes, or something small, like what song he’d like played, asking for your dad’s advice will make him feel included and show him how much you respect his opinion.
