Brooke and Gabriel’s Monday Wedding is the Perfect Start to the Week

Covid couple Brooke and Gabriel finally tied the knot in December last year, after three postponements. Like many couples, they opted for a weekday Wedding at The Grand Hyatt, Melbourne.

The day was just as they expected and more! Magical, filled with laughter, joy, and lots of partying (a weekend bender you might say)!

How did you meet?

I broke my foot overseas and the rest is history! He slid in the DMs to check on me. As soon as I got back from my holiday, Gab tried to see me for two months and I kept putting it off lol! Once we saw each other, you could say it was love at first sight, I knew he’d be my husband. Gab asked me to be his girlfriend on our second date and we have been by each other’s side since day one.

Describe the moment he proposed:

Gab was extremely nervous, he “apparently” planned a dinner at the gardens which I knew was so unlike him. I had a gut feeling but couldn’t even see a ring box bulging out of his pocket, so I was gutted lol. Little did I know he hid it in the car and there was a photographer waiting by a bed of red roses and Marry Me letters. It was magical.

Describe the wedding in a few paragraphs: What was the best moment of the night?

After postponing three times due to covid, we ended up getting married on a Monday! Initially, we thought hardly anyone would want to party on a Monday, but we didn’t care. Turns out, our Monday wedding felt like a weekend bender! It was so fun, nobody got off the dancefloor, drinks were flying. We had the best night of our lives. MONDAY WEDDINGS ALL DAY!

Looking back, what’s one thing you’d change about your wedding?

To stress less and to realise that whatever happens will happen and we can’t control everything. I am a natural control freak, so all the postponements were very tough, but I had to change my mindset. The day will be amazing no matter what.
