Wearing a wedding dress is a once in a lifetime occasion. But not for this bride!
Dawn Winfield-Hunt recently tied the knot to her husband and since then, she has worn her gown just about everywhere.
“I have cooked, cleaned and even done a bit of carpentry in it”, Dawn explains to Carter News.
Brides these days spend thousands and thousands of dollars on one dress that they’ll only wear one day in their life and even though this is Dawn’s second marriage, she wants to have a bit more fun this time round!
“Usually you only get to wear your dress once and then you put it in a box and forget about it,” she says. “But I liked mine and decided to wear it the following day for a BBQ with friends and everyone loved it.”
Her dress has gone pretty much everywhere with Dawn, to a bar, a festival even while she was paddle boarding! She maintains a blog which chronicles her versatile dress, even creating a bucket list of all the activities she wants to do in her bridal gown.
The dress was originally £1,800 however, Dawn got the dress for only £300 from a charity store!
Dawn plans to wear it until it is literally falling apart and until their first anniversary when she’ll officially file for a divorce from her beloved gown.
“It will be covered in seaweed, wine stains and probably won’t even be white anymore but I don’t care,” explains Dawn.
Unsurprisingly, she says the dress is getting her a lot of attention from the public when she does her day-to-day activities.
“The dress puts a smile on people’s faces,” she says.
As for her husband Steve, he seems to support his wife’s antics, “Steve is always camera ready and finds it hilarious too,” she says, adding, “We are always having fun so most of our friends aren’t surprised that I have managed to wear my dress again.”
But her son on the other hand, says a completely different story, “My son Sam, 31, thinks I am mental.”
Every day is Dawn’s wedding day!
