7 Big Wedding Trends We’re Predicting For 2019

We don’t want to brag, but our annual Bridal Bazaar is kind of a big deal. In fact, last year’s luxurious event proved so popular that tickets sold out weeks in advance, and rumour is a few even ended up on eBay!

So we decided to get in early with plans for next year’s event and boy are we excited to share our predictions for the latest in bridal trends with you fairies.

Check out the behind-the-scenes action from our recent Bridal Bazaar photo shoot for a sneak peek at some of the trends that we’re predicting in weddings for 2019.

Hint: The Meghan Markle effect is still going strong, with the Modern Regal look continuing to gain momentum.

  1. Thinly veiled

Perhaps inspired by the embroidered veil sported by The Duchess of Sussex on her wedding day, veils with delicate details are an easy way to add a little personal style to your look.

2. Bespoke bouquets

Floral arrangments will feature flowers such as sweet peas, lily of the valley and jasmine, for a rustic hand-picked look.

3. Flecks of foil

Hand-painted cakes, with details such as gold dust or silver foil, will add a subtle hint of glamour to your special day.

4. Getting ahead

Custom-made headpieces will make you feel like a modern-day queen. Try gold crowns, tiaras or crystal headbands for an ethereal look.

5. Lovely lace

Intricate yet delicate, subtle lace details will be a popular feature in bridal dresses for 2019.

6. The cold shoulder

The silhouette popularised by Meghan Markle’s boat-neck Givenchy wedding dress will be incarnated in different forms (such as this off-the-shoulder dress). Subtly sexy and universally flattering, it’s perfect for every kind of bride.

7. Suits

Perfect for the fashion-loving, non-traditional bride, a well-structured white pants suit makes it easy to “Say no to the dress”.

What are your thoughts Fairies?
