Despite the most recent season of MAFS achieving record ratings for channel 9 earlier this year, it appears the producers aren’t spending the budget on season seven’s brides.

With casting of the upcoming season currently underway, producers of the controversial reality TV show have been caught shopping at a second-hand shop for wedding dresses in Kings Cross. An employee of the store told a Daily Telegraph journalist that the producers had come in looking for dresses, explicitly stating that they were for the show.

Perhaps they’ll be used for upcoming promotional material, as in previous years we’ve seen the brides in dresses they didn’t necessarily get married in, but I suppose we’ll have to wait and see.

With filming set to start this month, will we get the classic shots of the brides picking out the dresses or will they suddenly appear walking down the aisle in some mysterious op shop dresses?
