Amy and Adam wedded amongst their dearest family and friends in a ceremony very far from tradition. The pair tied the knot in an intimate affair with a retro-style house party afterwards… We love the vibes!

Adam was a photographer at a venue where Amy typically went out on a Saturday night with her girlfriends. They were introduced briefly one night through a mutual friend and after a few weekends bumping into each other there, Adam plucked up the courage to start a conversation with Amy after noticing the butterfly shoes she was wearing. The conversation went on and ended with a surprising goodbye kiss and the rest is history!
The Proposal
It was the morning of Amy’s birthday; they were at home just the two of them and Iggy (their Pugalier) waiting for family to arrive for Amy’s birthday brunch when Adam made a point of wanting to give Amy her birthday present. She was directed to take a seat on the couch and then before she knew it, she saw Adam get down on one knee and a box in his hands. “There were a few words, some tears and a loud YEP which followed… Not exactly the birthday I was expecting,” says bride Amy.
The Wedding
The couple decided to tie the knot on the day of their 10 year anniversary. The date always meant a lot to the pair and they wanted to keep it special, so what better way to celebrate 10 years of being together than by getting married!
Amy and Adam aren’t very traditional and they both come from quite different cultural backgrounds so they really wanted to make our wedding their own. They chose to have a small intimate ceremony at the registry office, followed by photos and celebratory champagne at one of their favourite wine bars, before heading to a big bright party at Amy’s mother-in-law’s house where 120 of their family and friends celebrated with them.
Amy says, “Everything about our wedding was a reflection of us, from the styling to the format. It was one big retro party and everyone danced late into the night. Every supplier who helped us bring the vision of our big day to life was a friend or family member and it was a privilege to have each of them involved.”
Advice from the Bride
“We wouldn’t change a thing about the day, it was absolutely perfect, we just wish it didn’t go by so quickly!” Amy.
