A Macedonian And Hungarian Wedding With Drummers And Flags

Nicole and Christopher started the next chapter of their lives in the most romantic place – Santorini!

Think white-washed buildings accented with blue shutters and domes, and cobblestone steps overlooking sweeping sunsets.

Pair all of this ambience with a proposal and you’ve got the sweet beginning to a love story that is Nicole and Christopher.

Reflecting on the experience, Nicole said, “Christopher surprised me while on our second European holiday in Santorini at our hotel. He had set up a balcony with roses, candles and Moet and surprised me with the most romantic proposal ever.”

Soon enough it was time to start planning the wedding! The big day screamed classic retro-glam vibes. We’re talking classic monochrome against stunning floral installations with dashes of greenery. Suspended crystal chandeliers and flickering candles lit up the room.

Nicole stunned in a Personalised Weddings Couture dress that boasted a gorgeous silhouette with embroidered applique. She had the best of both worlds because she also donned a layered over-skirt to compliment all the princess vibes. Her Prince Charming was matching in a white tailored suit and bow tie.

Speaking of wearing beautiful things, the day was all the more sentimental with Nicole having her late grandmother’s wedding band and late grandfather’s cross on her bouquet.

The most memorable part of the night was the zaffeh entertainment with Nicole saying, “Towards the end of the night the band members were having so much fun that they handed the drum over to one of Chris’s friends and joined in to the dancing.”

Nicole says the most unique part of this Hungarian, Macedonian and English trifecta was “seeing everyone participate in the traditional Macedonian dancing.”

“Everyone had told us to make the most of the day as it just goes so quick which we couldn’t really understand at first. However, our wedding day absolutely flew by so it is just so important to enjoy every second!”
