Christina and Theo’s wedding was nothing like they had planned or expected, but it was still the best day of their lives and they wouldn’t change a thing!
” The best part of our little wedding was the fact that we actually got married! COVID-19 really put a spanner in the works of our big day – we had a big, traditional, Greek and Italian wedding planned and we didn’t even get the chance to hand out invitations before those plans went out the window.”
As the restrictions really tightened up and it became clear their plans would not be going ahead, they made the tough decision to postpone all their big celebrations to 2021, but still wanted to tie the knot officially on their original date, so they planned a tiny civil ceremony in Christina’s parents’ backyard, followed by an intimate dinner in their dining room!
” I don’t think many people would be able to say they promised forever to their significant other in front of 20 of their closest friends and family in the face of such adversity. It was so unique and so special to us.”
Be inspired, Fairies!
