A Facebook Request And A Gold And Marble Wedding

The start of Gabriella and Jordan’s love story is truly a modern-day romance. The two first met through social media, where Jordan followed Gabriella on Instagram. After many likes and comments later, he finally made the move to seek out Gabriella’s Facebook and send her a friend request.

“I’m quite a private person and I only have people I know on Facebook, so I didn’t accept his request for nearly two weeks. When I finally did, he inboxed me and we chatted for about a month. Eventually, he somehow convinced me to give him my number, and a month after we first met, he told me he was going to marry me. I guess the rest is history!”

For this gorgeous couple, talking about their future together wasn’t uncommon. After having missed their anniversary dinner, Jordan organised a night out that ended in a midnight stroll at Bicentennial Park, their special spot, where the two spoke about their future plans.

“We were talking about how he was going to propose and I told him that my perfect proposal would be something intimate and private. I wanted it to happen when we were doing something we loved and I wanted to be surprised. He then stopped walking, dropped down on one knee, pulled out a ring box and said, ‘Is this enough of a surprise for you? Gabriella, I love you, will you please be my wife?’ I managed to say yes in between all of my crying!”

With a proposal as incredible as that, the wedding was sure to be just as spectacular. Intimate and timeless, Gabriella and Jordan’s wedding represented their style perfectly, with a theme of gold and marble.

“We first sent out a single marble invite to all of our guests, which led them to our wedding website. It made it so much easier to get all of our RSVPs in, and no one risked losing their invite. For our church, we had a marble altar and pews decorated with soft white tulle and white flowers ranging from Orchids, Hydrangeas, Sweet Williams and White Carnations.”

For the ceremony, the couple first had a canape hour, where guests were entertained with a pianist playing slow RnB songs.

“Just before we served the main course, we had Bollywood dancers perform three routines in gorgeous traditional outfits. I loved being able to incorporate my culture into the night. I’m half-Italian and half-Indian and Jordan is half-Maltese and half-English, so we managed to tie that all into our wedding.”

For Gabriella and Jordan, their wedding was absolutely perfect and everything they could have hope for. It was a celebration of their love and a night they’re not likely to forget.

Congratulations to Gabriella and Jordan!
