You’ve just gotten engaged and the journey to your wedding day has just begun so the best way to prepare for life as a bride, is to start cultivating healthy habits. Start now and you’ll be on-track to being a ‘wifey for lifey’ in no time!
1. Prioritise your Partner
Planning a wedding is not only tough for the brides, but it’s highly likely your groom will be feeling the pressure also. During these tough times, it’s essential that you both work on your communication skills and learn to resolve issues, instead of letting them build up. Also, start organising a weekly ‘date night’ where you and your hubby
2. Take a Hands-On Approach
From the moment you slip that engagement ring onto your finger until the wedding day comes to an end, all eyes will be on your hands, so start taking care of them with exfoliation and moisturiser, as well as regular manis (#AnyExcuse).
3. Schedule in Sleep
Not only will getting the right amount of sleep be a big booster for you hair, skin and nails, but it also helps keeps your mood up! Start aiming to get at least eight hours sleep per night so you’ve got all the energy you need to make all those hard wedding decisions.
4. Ask For Help
It can be hard to ask for help, but trust us, you’ll need it in the lead-up to your wedding day! Start by assigning your bridesmaid a task to assist you with now, so when it comes time you REALLY need a hand, you know they’ll be able to handle it.
5. Love Your Hair
Everyone want luscious, shiny locks on their big day, so start taking extra care of your hair asap. Decide on what length you’d like it for the wedding and talk to your hairdresser about a game plan!
6. Meditation Magic
Meditation can help with weight loss, stress, blood pressure and even anxiety and whether you take a class to learn how to meditate propery, or simply schedule in 10 minutes a day where you turn off the phone, switch off the lights, focus on your breathing and try to clear your mind, meditation is a super relaxing way to chill and gather your thoughts.
