6 Bridal Gowns Hot Off The Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival Runway

The Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival kicked off this month and our eyes were on Runway 4, which featured a slew of renowned bridal designers, including Wedded Wonderland Ambassador Steven Khalil.

Kicking off the luxe bridal display was Toni Maticevski, who showed off sleek, off-the-shoulder white gowns that contrasted against other willowy dresses featuring tulle skirts and sheer fabrics.

Designer Jason Grech showed off a collection that featured plenty of intricate embellishments against pale shades of nude and ivory on strapless gowns, while a structured white gown with a plunging neckline and digitally printed floral designs opened his show to a rousing applause.

Posting on Instagram, Grech said of the gown:

“I pushed myself and my small team like never before because I wanted to show something soft and beautiful, yet delicate and edgy. I invested hours and hours into design and my team and I many hundreds into turning those 2D images into 3D couture. We worked with a graphic designer to design this print which was then digitally printed onto twill and encrusted with thousands of Swarovski crystals.”

WW Member Grace Loves Lace also paraded their signature cool girl style, with feminine French lace gowns and Bohemian-inspired details, with the below feathers and baby’s breath shawl giving off an ethereal tone.

Steven Khalil brought his signature feminine designs to the runway, with intricately detailed gowns accentuating waists, and tulle and lace giving off a regal lace look.

Not only was the show a stunning display of bridal luxe, but the gowns can also be purchased thanks to VAMFFs Shop The Runway feature, which includes Maticevski, Rachel Gilbert, Grace Loves Lace, M.J. Bale, and Steven Khalil.
