3 THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT CELEBRITY FLORIST JEFF LEATHAM

As you all know, we are so excited about Jeff Leatham coming to Australia and to celebrate next week’s arrival, we’ve trawled every book, quote and interview to find out 3 Jeff Leatham secrets you haven’t heard before.

1. He has 3 favourite types of flowers

Jeff refers to his favourite florals as ‘big statement flowers’ – orchids, calla lilies and roses. He loves these types of blossoms because they ‘are more simple and they last longer’.

2. He doesn’t mind a bit of shock-value

Jeff chooses his flowers based on the colour of the room he is working to style and he thinks it’s great to use clashing hues. “With a blue room, how fantastic is it to have a big bouquet of yellow flowers?” he says. “When people walk in they immediately see Andy Warhol-ish pop colors.” (quote from Wall Street Journal)

3. He has a magic number when it comes to arrangements

Jeff is quite particular when it comes to arranging flowers in a vase and believes you should have at least 15 stems. If you’re working with a small space (like a bedside table), Jeff recommends opting for only one or three stems, as these numbers work the best aesthetically.

Jeff will be travelling down-under to host an exclusive seminar in Sydney, revealing insider secrets on floral styling and sharing some of his tips and tricks of the trade. The workshop is held at InterContinental Sydney Double Bay and will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ask questions, participate in demonstrations and learn from the Rockstar of the wedding world.

Tickets to the seminars are limited and sold exclusively through Wedded Wonderland – fairies, buy quickly, because these will sell out faster than a pair of Louboutins in a Boxing Day sale. Click here to buy.
